Pax Christi Aotearoa/New Zealand: Pray in solidarity with victims of war in Syria

Pax Christi Aotearoa/New Zealand and The Peace Place held a period of prayer and reflection in solidarity with all victims of the brutal war in Syria.

On 15 March 2016 it will be five years since the start of non-violent demonstrations in Syria calling for basic freedoms and rights. The Syrian regime’s brutal suppression of these demonstrations led to militarisation of the conflict which evolved into a civil war affecting the whole region.
